Driver extricated after two-car crash on River Road in Seneca Falls

  • Staff Report

First responders in Seneca Falls acted quickly Saturday morning following a two-vehicle crash that required one driver to be extricated from their vehicle.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on May 31, the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to River Road near Sauders.

Upon arrival, crews used tools to pop the driver’s side door and free one of the involved motorists. Occupants of the second vehicle had already exited their vehicle by the time fire crews arrived.

To ensure safety at the scene, eastbound traffic on River Road was rerouted up Kingdom Road, while westbound vehicles were directed to pass slowly through the area.

Both vehicles were removed by tow companies, and all Seneca Falls fire units were back in service by noon.
