An assault in Auburn triggered a multi-hour police standoff Sunday, but the suspect remains at large. One man was injured and treated at Auburn Community Hospital before being released.
Police believed the suspect was inside a Washington Street home and deployed their Emergency Response Team, negotiators, and drone unit. However, the search came up empty when officers entered the home around 8 p.m.
Authorities say the incident was isolated and the public is not at risk. The search for the suspect continued into Monday.
