Cato to hold public hearing on residency change for town worker

The Town of Cato Board will meet Tuesday and will hold a public hearing on a proposed local law that would change the residency requirements for the Deputy Town Clerk position.

The public hearing will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Cato Town Hall, located at 11320 Short Cut Road in Cayuga County. If adopted, the local law would allow the Deputy Town Clerk to reside outside the Town of Cato.

Residents and interested parties are invited to attend and share their views on the proposal either in person or through a designated representative. The public hearing will take place during the board’s regular monthly meeting.

The meeting and hearing are open to the public.
