A Seneca Falls man was arrested Monday after allegedly driving under the influence of marijuana and failing to properly yield to a police vehicle with emergency lights activated.
Pravo Atherly, 46, was taken into custody on May 19 following a traffic stop conducted by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department.
According to police, Atherly failed to exercise due care while passing a marked patrol vehicle that had its emergency lights on. During the stop, officers determined he was operating the vehicle while impaired by marijuana.
Authorities charged Atherly with driving while ability impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor. He also received a traffic citation. Atherly was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
