A fire broke out Friday afternoon at a two-story home on Kendall Avenue near Ithaca College, but no injuries were reported, according to 14850 Today. Fire crews arrived to find heavy flames and quickly escalated the response to a third alarm.
Investigators remained on-site into the evening, though the cause is still unknown. The home’s occupants were not students, and Kendall Avenue has since reopened to traffic.
The Ithaca Fire Department credited the quick containment to strong coordination and support from state and local teams.
