A 21-year-old Port Byron woman has pleaded not guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and multiple charges tied to a deadly 2023 crash, according to The Citizen.
Kaitlyn R. Kudla is accused of driving under the influence during the crash that killed Riley Besner and severely injured another passenger, KeShawn Thomas. Prosecutors say she lied to deputies about drinking before the crash and now faces additional charges.
Kudla, free on pretrial release with an ankle monitor, has been offered a 10-year plea deal. She returns to court May 30. Prosecutors say she’s under supervision while the case proceeds.
