Five Williamson High School graduates spanning the classes of 1968 to 1990 were inducted into the prestigious Alumni of Distinction group at Young Sommer Winery on May 1, according to WayneTimes.com. Honorees included faith leader Dr. A. Charles Ware, local volunteer Dan Montondo, business and sports mentor John Vitalone, climate scientist Dr. Michelle Walvoord, and medical educator Dr. Rachel Jordan.
Each honoree shared personal stories of resilience, service, and passion—ranging from Ware’s work in racial reconciliation to Walvoord’s research in climate change. Though varied in careers, they emphasized values shaped in high school and a commitment to giving back.
The group also spoke to current students the following day, offering advice rooted in life experiences—from overcoming tragedy to finding strength in sports and the arts.
