A domestic dispute in Florida took a bizarre turn when a woman shoved cheesy nachos down her wife’s pants and attacked her during an argument. The confrontation happened earlier this month in Port St. Lucie and ended with a charge of battery causing bodily harm.
A late-night snack turns into a violent outburst
On May 3, Port St. Lucie police responded to a domestic disturbance on Southeast Buttonwood Drive. When officers arrived, 39-year-old Allyson Swan told them everything was fine. However, her wife gave a different account.
The victim explained she was preparing nachos in the kitchen when Swan began criticizing her for eating late and making comments about her weight. The argument quickly escalated. Swan allegedly grabbed a handful of nachos and shoved them into her wife’s pants.
After the victim went to change clothes, Swan reportedly pulled her to the floor by the hair. She then forced her fingers into the victim’s mouth and slammed her head against the floor multiple times.
Evidence and conflicting stories
Officers found nacho cheese on the victim’s pants and a hole in the wall, which appeared to result from the altercation. Despite the evidence, Swan denied the assault. She claimed her wife threw the nachos and rolled in them during the argument.
Police arrested Swan and charged her with battery causing bodily harm.
A bizarre case with serious consequences
This strange case, now known online as a “nacho assault,” has drawn national attention. It highlights how domestic violence can unfold in unexpected ways. Regardless of how unusual a case may seem, law enforcement treats all reports of abuse with seriousness.
