  • Staff Report

The Ithaca Police Department is investigating multiple reports of a man posing as a maintenance worker to enter homes in the South Hill area. The suspect has no ties to any real service company, police confirmed Friday.

Described as a white male in his mid-30s, about 6’5″ with graying blonde hair, a beard, and a forearm tattoo, he was last seen in cargo pants and a dark hoodie, driving a dark sedan. Residents are urged to verify the identity of anyone requesting home access.

Police ask anyone with information to contact them via phone, email, or their anonymous tip line.
