Members of Westhill High School’s boys’ lacrosse team involved in a severe hazing case regret their actions, according to their attorney, as reported by CNY Central. Eleven upperclassmen allegedly targeted five teammates during an April 24 incident in Onondaga County.
One victim endured the worst treatment, reportedly having a pillowcase placed over his head, hands bound, and weapons brandished before being forced into a car. Attorney Tom Cerio stated the players and their families are devastated and committed to accepting responsibility while seeking rehabilitation over harsh punishment.
All 11 players surrendered within 24 hours after being ordered to turn themselves in. The investigation remains ongoing.
