New York’s annual I Love My Park Day returns this Saturday, with officials urging residents to help spruce up parks across the state. Organized by Parks & Trails New York and state agencies, the event will mobilize thousands to clean parks, plant trees, and restore habitats.
In the Finger Lakes, projects include gardening at Ganondagan, beach cleanup at Seneca Lake State Park, trail maintenance at Bare Hill, and more. The effort also supports the state’s goal of planting 25 million trees by 2033.
Now in its 14th year, the event aims to protect natural resources while welcoming visitors back to refreshed and vibrant state lands.
