Conquest woman charged after domestic violence incident involving knife

Deputies in Cayuga County arrested a 43-year-old Conquest woman after she allegedly threatened a man with a knife during a domestic altercation. Gloria L. Brunswick faces two misdemeanor charges: menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.

Sheriff Brian Schenck announced the arrest on April 29. Deputies responded to a domestic violence call on April 25 at around 12:18 p.m. in the Town of Conquest. Upon arrival, deputies separated the individuals involved and conducted an investigation.

Authorities determined that Brunswick had possessed a knife and held it in a threatening manner toward a male victim during the confrontation. She was taken into custody at approximately 1:49 p.m., processed at the Public Safety Building, and arraigned at CAP Court.

Brunswick was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Conquest Court on April 29 at 6:00 p.m.
