Two Seneca Falls teenagers were arrested after police said a heated Snapchat exchange escalated into a confrontation outside a victim’s home.
Jaden M. Preston and Sascha L. Shoemake, both 18, were taken into custody by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department on April 26 following a reported harassment complaint.
According to authorities, the incident began with bantering on Snapchat between the victim, Jaden, and Sascha. Police said the situation turned hostile when Jaden and Sascha went to the victim’s residence and yelled profanities at the victim and her mother. Officers reported that the pair then threw eggs at the victims during the confrontation.
Jaden and Sascha were located by police while leaving the scene. Each was charged with two counts of harassment in the second degree. They were transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center to await arraignment. An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victims.
