Daniel LaRock, 21, of Oswego County, has pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing child pornography. He now faces decades in federal prison when sentenced later this year.
Details of the guilty plea
LaRock admitted he continued to possess and distribute child pornography just weeks after receiving a 10-year probation sentence in June 2024 for promoting the sexual performance of a child. He used multiple social media accounts to share videos showing very young children engaged in sex acts with adults.
Sentencing information
LaRock will be sentenced on August 26, 2025, before U.S. District Judge Anthony J. Brindisi. He faces:
- 10 to 20 years in prison for each count
- Supervised release lasting between 5 years and life
- Forfeiture of devices used to commit the offenses
- Restitution to victims
- Mandatory sex offender registration after prison
The court will determine the final sentence based on federal statutes, sentencing guidelines, and other case factors.
Investigation and prosecution
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the New York State Police investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Michael D. Gadarian is prosecuting it under Project Safe Childhood.
