Gerber Products Company has issued a nationwide recall for all batches of its Soothe N Chew teething sticks after receiving reports of a potential choking hazard for babies and young children.

The recall, which began on January 31, 2025, remains in effect. A second reminder was issued on April 18, 2025, after reports surfaced that some recalled products were still being sold online and in stores.

Why Gerber recalled the Soothe N Chew teething sticks

Gerber initiated the recall after consumers reported incidents of choking involving the teething sticks. One emergency room visit has been linked to the product so far.

The recall affects only Soothe N Chew teething sticks in two flavors:

  • Strawberry Apple (3.2 oz, UPC 0 15000 04618 7)
  • Banana (3.2 oz and 1.59 oz, UPCs 0 15000 04608 8 and 0 15000 01015 7)

All lot codes of these products are included in the recall.

Gerber distributed the affected teething sticks nationwide, including in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, through both online retailers and physical stores.
