A violent altercation at a residence in Steuben County sent one person to the hospital in critical condition and led to an arrest, according to New York State Police.
James W. Cunningham, 44, was charged with Assault in the First Degree, a class B felony. Police say the incident occurred on April 22 and involved two other individuals. The investigation remains ongoing. No additional charges have been filed.
Authorities have not released further details about the assault or the identities of the other individuals involved. Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact the New York State Police at (585) 398-4100.
