Emergency crews responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries Friday afternoon at the intersection of South Street Road (State Route 34) and Silver Street Road in the Town of Fleming.
The call came in at 3:46 p.m., prompting a response from the Fleming Fire Department and Fleming Ambulance. On arrival, first responders confirmed the accident and reported a possible heavy entrapment, leading to a request for additional manpower from the Owasco Fire Department.
All occupants were safely extricated from the vehicles and evaluated at the scene by emergency medical services. One patient was transported to Upstate University Hospital for further care.
Crews remained on scene to manage vehicle hazards and ensure the area was safe. The incident was cleared by approximately 4:30 p.m.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Owasco Fire Department, Auburn City Ambulance, the New York State Police, and the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
