White Springs and West Lake Road fire crews successfully contained a brush fire earlier this week after responding to multiple burning compost and brush piles.
The call initially went to White Springs, but jurisdiction was determined to fall under West Lake Road, which quickly joined the effort.
Engines from both departments worked together at the scene, extinguishing the fire without any reported damage or injuries.
The swift, coordinated response prevented the situation from escalating.
