Three Injured in Shortsville Crash at Route 21 Intersection

  • Staff Report

A two-vehicle crash in Shortsville on Monday morning left three people injured and temporarily disrupted traffic at a busy intersection, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies said.

The collision occurred around 11 a.m. on April 14 at the intersection of State Route 21 and Latting Road. Investigators say 28-year-old Emmanuel Hamilton of Canandaigua was driving a 2018 Jeep Renegade northbound and attempting a left turn onto Latting Road when the crash occurred.

At the same time, 33-year-old Martha Boswell, also of Canandaigua, was heading south in a 2008 Nissan Versa. Deputies say Boswell passed a turning vehicle on the right shoulder and struck Hamilton’s Jeep as he turned.

Boswell and two of her passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital by Shortsville and Finger Lakes Ambulance.

The incident was investigated by Deputy Cicero.
