The chase ended on West Green Street after Elliot fell over a chain barrier in a parking lot and was taken into custody. Officers recovered a loaded firearm and narcotics in his possession.

Elliot was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a class C felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony; obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; and a violation for possessing an open container of alcohol.

He sustained injuries during the attempted escape and was treated and released by Cayuga Medical Center.

Elliot was arraigned by Judge Wallace in Ithaca City Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on $30,000 bail or $60,000 bond.
