A Wolcott man faces multiple charges after a three-car crash in Butler led deputies to arrest him on suspicion of drunk driving.
Alexander Rodriguez, 29, of New Hartford Street, was taken into custody Friday morning by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the crash occurred on Whiskey Hill Road and resulted from Rodriguez failing to yield while making a left-hand turn.
Authorities charged Rodriguez with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher, unlicensed operation, and operating a vehicle without insurance. He was also charged with two counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument.
Deputies secured a breath sample from Rodriguez showing a BAC of .19%. He was taken to the Wayne County Jail for CAP arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Butler Town Court at a later date.
