Schools across New York faced delays Tuesday morning due to a temporary outage in the state’s computer-based testing system. The issue affected about 10% of schools during exams for grades three through eight but was quickly addressed.
Greater Southern Tier BOCES officials said most students were still able to complete and submit their tests. Those who couldn’t will be allowed to finish later, based on their district’s discretion.
The State Education Department and testing vendor NWEA apologized for the disruption, which has since been fully resolved.
