FLCC cancels teaching winery open house scheduled for April 12

  • Staff Report

A public tasting and tour event at the Finger Lakes Community College Viticulture and Wine Center, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 12, has been canceled.

Organizers confirmed the cancellation in a notice this week and asked that any previously published announcements be removed. A sign will be posted at the facility on Empire Drive in Geneva for visitors who may arrive unaware of the change.

The event was to include guided tours of the teaching winery, tastings of student-made wines, and wine sales supporting the college’s viticulture and wine technology program. The center serves as both an instructional facility and a commercial winery, with student wines available at local retailers.

No new date for the event has been announced.
