Two men from Cameron are facing felony charges following a violent altercation that left one person seriously injured, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Dakota J.L. Barber, 22, and Herbert L. Barber, 48, both of Upper Swale Road, after responding to a reported assault on April 5.
Investigators allege the pair struck and kicked the victim during the incident. The injured person was taken to a local medical facility for treatment. Authorities did not release further information about the victim’s condition.
Dakota Barber was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony. Herbert Barber was charged with the same offense, along with resisting arrest.
Both men were arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
