A fire broke out Monday morning at Geneva Gelato, but swift action by firefighters kept the damage minimal, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Crews arrived at the Exchange Street shop just before 9:45 a.m. and extinguished the blaze within three minutes. Geneva Fire Chief Del Parrotta said the fire was electrical and confined to the first floor, with only minor structural and smoke damage reported.
No injuries occurred, and the building’s upper floors remained unaffected. Multiple agencies assisted in the response, which prevented harm to nearby businesses and residents.
