A Martville woman was arrested Friday after allegedly driving drunk to Cato Elementary School during student dismissal, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Susan L. Maund, 47, faces multiple misdemeanor charges, including Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Deputies were initially called around 3:58 p.m. on April 4 to investigate a possible domestic violence incident at a residence in the Town of Victory. During the investigation, they learned that individuals involved in the reported disturbance were at the Cato Elementary School in a white car.
Deputies responded to the school and found the vehicle in the student pickup line. They identified Maund as the driver and determined she had driven to the school under the influence of alcohol. After taking her into custody and transporting her to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building, authorities reported that her blood alcohol content measured .22%.
Maund was processed and later released on her own recognizance following CAP court arraignment. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ira Court at a later date.
