Park Presbyterian Church in Newark will celebrate its 200th anniversary with a weekend of events on April 26 and 27, according to The Times of Wayne County.

Established in 1825, the church is Newark’s second oldest and traces its roots to early 1800s services held in a local schoolhouse.

The celebration begins Saturday morning with a viewing of historical artifacts followed by a program featuring organ music, speakers, combined church choirs, and a performance by the Finger Lakes Bronze Bell Choir. Refreshments will follow.

The public is welcome, but reservations are encouraged by calling the church or event organizer Kay Oosterling.
