Residents of the Village of Phelps will have the opportunity to weigh in on the proposed 2025–2026 budget during a public hearing set for Monday, April 14. The hearing will take place at 5 p.m. in the Village Meeting Room at 8 Banta Street.
The proposed budget has been filed with the Village Clerk/Treasurer and is available for public inspection on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Village Office.
According to the notice, the budget includes annual compensation of $6,020 for the Mayor and $4,200 each for the Trustees.
Village Clerk/Treasurer Jill K. Seifert issued the notice on behalf of the Village Board. The hearing gives residents a chance to review and comment on the spending plan before it is officially adopted.
