Deputies arrest Potter man on warrant tied to domestic incident

  • Staff Report

Deputies arrested a 35-year-old man in the Town of Potter on Saturday following a domestic incident that led to an arrest warrant.

Matthew J. Robinson was taken into custody around 1:57 p.m. on March 29 at a residence on East Swamp Road in Penn Yan. According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the warrant stems from an incident in which Robinson allegedly obstructed another person’s breathing and subjected them to unwanted physical contact.

Authorities said Robinson also faces a charge of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree. He was transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building and is awaiting arraignment in CAP court.
