The Buffalo Bills have signed cornerback Christian Benford to a four-year contract extension worth $76 million, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday.
Benford, who Buffalo drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, recently completed his third season with the team.
In the 2024 season, he recorded a career-best 64 tackles while also contributing two interceptions, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and a sack over 15 games. He played a pivotal role in the Bills’ defense, starting for the second straight year and participating in 95% of the team’s defensive snaps.
Benford is the latest homegrown talent to receive a contract extension from the Bills this offseason, joining MVP quarterback Josh Allen (six years, $330 million), wide receiver Khalil Shakir (four years, $53 million), linebacker Terrel Bernard (four years, $42 million), and defensive end Greg Rousseau (four years, $80 million).
