The Newfield Central School District has teamed up with Cornell University for a research project aimed at strengthening ties between schools and the community, according to district officials.
Residents are encouraged to complete a short, anonymous survey by March 31 to help identify community strengths and areas for growth. The project, involving researchers from Cornell, Skidmore, and Harvard, will guide future planning efforts across schools and local organizations.
With over 100 responses so far, the district hopes to surpass 200. Results will shape action plans and contribute to a national study comparing school-community dynamics in rural areas.
