The Finger Lakes Community College men’s volleyball team is gearing up for the 2025 NJCAA Men’s Volleyball National Invitational, set to take place on Friday, April 4, at Putt Moore Court. Teams from across the country will descend on the event for a full day of high-level competition.

The Lakers, earning the fourth overall seed, will face fifth-seeded Bryant & Stratton (WI) at 11 a.m. Friday. Finger Lakes holds a perfect 4-0 record against the Bobcats, including a 3-1 victory in last year’s national tournament and a narrow 3-2 win earlier this season at the College of DuPage Invite.

The Lakers bring a deep roster filled with dynamic talent. Evan Lukasiewicz (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) and Bryce Nickson (Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) have proven their versatility across multiple facets of the game, while power-hitters Jack Donovan (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) and Aaron Hennessy (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) each enter the invitational with 113 total kills. Setter Cole Thomas (Fayetteville, N.Y./Chittenango) will play a crucial role in directing the offense, while Dominick Alvarado (York, P.A./Northeastern) is expected to provide an energy boost. Defensively, Grant Walker (Boston, N.Y./Eden) and Jake Seklar (Rochester, N.Y./Gates Chili) will be key contributors.

With a strong mix of offensive firepower and defensive reliability, Finger Lakes will look to make a deep run in the national tournament and add to its growing volleyball legacy.
