Seneca Falls man faces felony charges after violent domestic: Second arrest in span of months

A Seneca Falls man who was involved in a violent camper incident in Wayne County over the winter was arrested again following a domestic dispute in Seneca County.

The Seneca Falls Police Department took Richard A. Wollek, 47, into custody on March 24 after he subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact.

Authorities say Wollek threw a chair at the victim, slapped them multiple times, and placed his hands on their neck. At the time of the incident, a class B order of protection was in effect, barring Wollek from making physical contact with the victim.

As a result, Wollek was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, along with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct, both violations.

Wollek was arrested in December in Wayne County, after destroying a camper and assaulting a woman with a television.

Following the Monday incident he was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility and is awaiting CAP court proceedings.
