A Canandaigua man was arrested on a warrant after allegedly violating a stay-away order of protection.
The Canandaigua Police Department took Sean R. Rankin, 58, into custody on March 3 at 4 p.m. following an investigation into a disturbance at a Chapin Street address on January 28. Authorities determined that Rankin had gone to the home of the protected person, violating the court order.
Rankin was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
