Syracuse guard Elijah Moore has entered the transfer portal, becoming the third Orange player to do so this season, following Kyle Cuffe Jr. and Chris Bell, per On3’s Joe Tipton.

Moore, a freshman, averaged 5.2 points in 15.7 minutes per game. Ranked No. 59 in the 2024 recruiting class by 247Sports, he was known for his sharpshooting and signature celebration. After limited early-season action, he had standout performances with 19 points against Cornell and 24 against Tennessee, earning his first start on December 10.

However, his production declined due to injury and reduced playing time in conference play, failing to log 20-plus minutes in a game since 2025 began.

With Moore and Cuffe in the portal and Jaquan Carlos and Lucas Taylor graduating, J.J. Starling remains SU’s only returning scholarship guard. He will be joined by incoming freshmen Kiyan Anthony and Luke Fennell, though Syracuse is expected to seek more backcourt additions through the transfer portal, which opens Monday.
