New York State Police have arrested six individuals following an assault at an underage drinking party in Wayland, Steuben County. The investigation began March 15 when a victim reported being attacked at the gathering on County Route 50. Video evidence and witness statements identified those involved.
Five people, including four juveniles and 18-year-old Nickayla Wise, were charged with third-degree assault. Wise also faces a charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Separately, 19-year-old Dylan James McDonald was charged under Steuben County’s Social Host Law for hosting the party.
All suspects have scheduled court appearances later this month and in April. Authorities continue investigating the incident.
