Authorities in Canandaigua have arrested a local man following an investigation into drug activity in the city.
Marcis A. Worboys, 32, was taken into custody on March 17 and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. Police allege that Worboys was in possession of crack cocaine with the intent to sell it.
The arrest followed an ongoing investigation into drug sales in the area. The Canandaigua Police Department, with assistance from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at Worboys’ residence, which led to his arrest.
Following his apprehension, Worboys was transported for CAP arraignment, where he was released with an order to return to Canandaigua City Court at a later date. Authorities have indicated that further charges may be forthcoming.
