The seventh-ranked William Smith lacrosse team was defeated by third-ranked Franklin & Marshall 10-8 in a non-conference contest at Shadek Stadium in a non-conference contest this afternoon. With the loss, the Herons fall to 3-2 on the season.
Senior attacker Katherine Murray led the Herons with five goals on the afternoon. Mia Falco had two assists. Senior Livvy Von Heill had a team-high three caused turnovers. Kate Colvin had three ground balls and Quirk had six draw controls. Senior Maura Smeader played all 60 minutes in goal and made six saves.
Alexandra Proefrock led the Diplomats with three goals and three points. Sophia Geibel had a game-high three caused turnovers and was one of four Franklin and Marshall players with two ground balls. Sarah Digiovanni played all 60 minutes in goal and made nine saves.
