The Naples VFW recently raised almost $7,000 for Honor Flight of Rochester through a music festival held at its post.
During the event, Post Commander Matthew Tierson and Auxiliary President Brittany Tierson presented a check for $6,929 to Honor Flight representative Rebecca Hanggi Lombardo. The funds will help support the nonprofit’s mission of transporting veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit memorials dedicated to their service.
“The day would not have been possible without the amazing help from the Post and Auxiliary members,” Tierson said.
Honor Flight of Rochester is part of the national Honor Flight Network, which provides all-expenses-paid trips for veterans, ensuring they receive the recognition and gratitude they deserve. The Naples VFW’s fundraising efforts contribute to these life-changing experiences for former service members.
