A Livingston County man is facing serious charges after what authorities describe as a deadly altercation at a home in Avon.
Deputies responded to a 911 call early yesterday morning reporting a person in medical distress at a residence on West Main Street. The individual was transported to Strong Hospital but did not survive. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Jonathan Mills, 61, of Avon, has been charged with first-degree manslaughter, and officials indicate that additional charges may follow. At the scene, investigators discovered evidence of a physical altercation, though further details about what led to the incident have not been disclosed.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter.
