Dr. Elizabeth Lambert has been officially appointed as Keuka College’s vice president for student development after serving in the role on an interim basis since June. She succeeds Dr. Heather Maldonado, who was recently named provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Keuka College President Amy Storey praised Lambert’s leadership, stating, “Never mind getting up to speed—Liz walked in the door already up to speed, and she’s done a remarkable job. We’re thrilled that she’ll be continuing her excellent work on a permanent basis.”
In her new role, Dr. Lambert will oversee key student services, including Student Life, Health & Counseling, the Office of Student Accessibility, the Office of Community and Belonging, Athletics, HEOP, and Campus Safety. She emphasized her commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
“I’m working toward a future where every student, regardless of background or circumstance, feels a strong sense of belonging at Keuka College,” Lambert said. “By collaborating with students, faculty, staff, and alumni, my goal is to build on our College values and create an environment that fosters community, success, curiosity, and opportunity for our students.”
Dr. Lambert brings extensive experience to the position, having previously served as Keuka College’s dean of Student Engagement and Success before moving to Elmira College in 2019 as vice president of Campus Life and dean of students.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be back at Keuka College,” she said. “This is a special community, and I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside my colleagues to support and empower our students.”
