Thomas Eaves, one of seven suspects accused in the murder of a transgender man in Ontario County, has a violent past, according to a mother whose son was previously assaulted by him.
Eaves, 21, allegedly participated in the torture and killing of 24-year-old Sam Nordquist, whose body was found on Feb. 13. He and the other suspects pleaded not guilty. Shannon Davenport recalled Eaves’ 2022 attack on her autistic son, Caleb Francis, who was beaten unconscious and left on a trail in Newark.
Davenport said hearing of Eaves’ arrest for murder made her sick, and Caleb was stunned by the news. The outcome of Eaves’ 2022 case remains unclear, as court records were unavailable.
