The Buffalo Bills made another addition to the defensive side of the ball on Wednesday, signing safety Darrick Forrest to a one-year contract, according to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe.

Ryan Talbot of Syracuse.com reported that the deal is for $1.337 million.

Forrest spent the first four seasons of his career with the Washington Commanders after being selected in the fifth round (163rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Cincinnati.

Over those four years, the 25-year-old appeared in 40 games, starting 17, and recorded 137 tackles, four interceptions, nine pass deflections, and two forced fumbles.

Last season, he played in 10 games, primarily on special teams, making one start and totaling 13 tackles.

Forrest now joins Buffalo’s safeties group alongside Taylor Rapp, Damar Hamlin, Cole Bishop, and Cam Lewis.
