A Phelps man was arrested on Saturday after police say he shoplifted from Walmart despite being previously banned from the store.
Jason B. Osgood, 53, was taken into custody by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department at 4:13 p.m. after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The charges stem from a December 2024 incident in which Osgood allegedly passed all points of sale without paying for merchandise.
During the investigation, authorities discovered that Osgood had been previously banned from Walmart, leading to additional charges. He was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and third-degree burglary, a felony.
Osgood was processed and transported to the Seneca County Jail for arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date.
