Waterloo man arrested for aggravated family offense after traffic stop

A routine traffic stop in Waterloo led to the arrest of a local man on multiple charges, including an aggravated family offense, according to the Waterloo Police Department.

Officers pulled over 36-year-old Randy Adorno-Davila after he allegedly failed to yield the right of way at an intersection. During the stop, police discovered that a passenger in the vehicle was a protected party under a Class A order of protection against Adorno-Davila.

Further investigation revealed that Adorno-Davila had prior convictions for qualifying family offenses, leading to the aggravated family offense charge. He was also charged with criminal contempt in the second degree.

Adorno-Davila was taken into custody and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment. No further details were released regarding the protected party or the nature of the prior offenses.
