Sabres lose fourth straight, blown out by last-place Sharks at home

The Buffalo Sabres’ (24-30-6) winless streak stretched to four games following a 6-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks (17-37-9) on Tuesday night at KeyBank Center.

Buffalo trailed by just one heading into the third period but was outscored 4-1 in the final 20 minutes. Alexandar Georgiev secured the win in net with 20 saves.

JJ Peterka extended his point streak to six games with a goal for the Sabres, while Tage Thompson notched his 30th of the season.

San Jose received goals from Timothy Liljegren, Nico Sturm, William Eklund, Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and Tyler Toffoli.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 23 saves on 28 shots for Buffalo.
