Forever 21 to close Eastview Mall store amid struggles

Forever 21 is shutting down its Eastview Mall location in Victor as part of a broader wave of store closures linked to financial troubles. The retailer, facing stiff competition from Shein and Temu, is also laying off over 350 employees and closing its Los Angeles corporate office.

While the company has not revealed the total number of store closures, it is reportedly exploring a sale to avoid bankruptcy. At its peak, Forever 21 operated over 500 U.S. stores, but that number has dropped to 359. Discounts of 20% to 40% are currently available at the closing Eastview location.

The Eastview store, open for 18 years, is among many affected nationwide. Mall owner Wilmorite referred all inquiries to Forever 21, which has yet to provide further details.
