Seneca County has established a countywide Water & Sewer Authority after receiving approval from Gov. Kathy Hochul. Officials believe centralizing operations will improve efficiency and increase access to grant funding.
A nine-member board was appointed Tuesday, with members serving staggered terms: Curtis Viery, Faith Smith, Brian Preston, Clara Walburn, Tom Dyson, Bobby Carrol, Damon Nicholson, Greg Keefe, and Mike Shores.
The authority is a key step in streamlining water and sewer services for county residents.
