ORANGE GAME DAY: Syracuse looks to snap three-game skid vs. NC State (preview)

Syracuse men’s basketball (11-16, 5-11 ACC) hosts NC State (11-16, 4-12 ACC) tonight at 7 p.m. in its second-to-last home game of the season.

The Orange look to end a three-game losing streak. Their most recent loss came last Saturday when they fell 80-69 to Pittsburgh, despite hitting 14 three-pointers, their highest total since January 2022. Chris Bell shined with a season-high seven triples, scoring 23 points, while J.J. Starling added 14 points, including three from beyond the arc.

NC State comes in with momentum, having defeated Wake Forest 85-73 on Saturday, led by Paul McNeil’s 24 points and Dontrez Styles’ 22. The Wolfpack have won two of their last three ACC games but previously endured a nine-game conference losing streak.

Syracuse holds a 14-7 all-time record against NC State, including a 7-4 mark at home. However, the Wolfpack won their last meeting in the ACC Tournament. Last season, Bell scored 26 points with eight triples in a road victory over NC State, and the Orange also defeated the Wolfpack at the Dome.

The game will be broadcast on ESPNU, featuring play-by-play commentary from Mike Monaco and analysis from Chris Spatola.
