A Middlesex man was arrested Saturday afternoon for aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the town of Gorham, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stopped 26-year-old James A. Rowe on County Road 1 near 5067 County Road 1 at approximately 3:35 p.m. on February 22. During the investigation, authorities determined that Rowe was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where a breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.18%.
Rowe was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Speeding in a zone. He was released to a sober party and is scheduled to appear in Gorham Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
